How do you feel about money?

June 11th, 2009 Real Estate Yogi No comments

This is a hard question for many people to answer.

How do I feel about money? If you don’t know how you feel about money, you mishandle it like everyone else. Money is a gateway to opportunities such as free time to spend with your family. Money is an opportunity to grow a business (in the future), decrease your worry regarding bills, and invest for your future. Money can be a million ideas to one person and none to another.

  • How do you feel about the money you have?
  • Do you mishandle it constantly?
  • Are you living from paycheck to paycheck?
  • Do you feel like you’re drowning in your own attempts?

Change your mindset about money. It is okay to make mistakes, but living beyond your means is crumbling your credit report. Look at your credit report once more.

How do I know this?

When you reach into your wallet or purse, you seek a credit card with the most available credit. Then you purchase an item you feel that you ‘need’ at the moment (big mistake!). Your purchase may be a new shirt, CD, or other things you ‘want’… not need. You are depleting your funds as you buy meaningless accessories that are not helping your future.

For instance, the new shirt you’re buying will be on sale soon. There may be a cheaper way to buy it online (with coupons, of course). Your perception of every dollar you own right now could hurt your financial future. If you don’t believe money is a valuable asset, you don’t believe you should save it. You should think about these questions before you clear your credit report.

What good is a payment plan if you will deplete the funds on unnecessary items? If you want to work things out on your credit report, you have to work things out in your head. Figure out what you want to achieve before diving into dispute letters, arguments, and more debt.
